Harry Potter and other things that are not nearly as important :)

So, I'm sorry for not blogging the last 2 days. We have been extremely busy. I'll start my updating with Thursday.

Thursday morning, we got up and did the whole class thing, and Hannah Rachel and I did laundry that afternoon.

This place was miniscule...

Hannah Rachel was being studious while we waited for our laundry.

After the trip to the laundry mat, we got changed clothes and got ready to go see HARRY POTTER! Our tickets were for 12:02, so we decided that we needed to leave by 6 so we could eat dinner and take the bus out to the theater. We ate dinner at a place next to the bus stop, but it wasn't terribly great, so I didn't take pictures of our food. We hopped on the trusty 801/800 bus and rode it out to our stop. We got some candy at the Couche-Tard by the stop, and then hopped back on the 93 out to the theater. We expected to be able to just hang out at Wal-Mart or Coldstone Creamery. Oh no. We walked up to the theater and there was a line down the front of the building. We quickly hopped in line.

Hannah Rachel was happy that we were there to see Harry Potter.

But she was not happy that we had to sit in line.

However, we did have a pretty good place in line...

So we got in line around 9:20, and we had to wait, with absolutely nothing to do, until 11:30, which was when they finally let us in. The whole time we were waiting, the people in front of us and behind us, who only spoke French, were playing games and singing along to American songs. We also learned that Harry Potter fans are just as crazy in Canada as they are in the US.

This was one of the girls that sat in front of us for 2 hours. She looked just like Harry Potter...sortof.

They finally let us in at 11:30, and we quickly ran to our theater and grabbed some good seats. Hannah Rachel went and got us popcorn and Diet Coke, and we were set for the movie to start. Well the movie didn't start at 12:02, as advertised, but instead, it started at 12:30. We didn't care though because we had made it out to the theater without a hitch, and we were sitting waiting for HARRY POTTER to start. And it was absolutely amazing. We loved it so much, that we are planning to go see it again sometime next week in 3D just so we can get the cool Harry Potter 3D glasses so we can experience it all over again.

As soon as the movie was over, around 2:30, we walked outside and hopped into a taxi. We expected our driver to know exactly where to go because when have you ever ridden in a taxi and they didn't know where to go. Well our driver had no earthly idea where our hotel was. I had to type the address into his GPS, and even then, when we got back into the city, we had to tell him when to turn left and when to turn right. He liked us was nice so he turned off the meter when we got into the lower city. We finally made it back to the hotel at 2:45, and we were pumped. We had made it out to the theater, seen Harry Potter, and gotten back to the hotel without one thing going wrong. Our biggest adventure so far was a complete success.

I did forget to mention that we had a test this morning (Friday), and we did not study for it at all. So after getting back and going to bed at 3:30, we woke up at 8 am this morning to get up and study. We took the test and we went straight back to bed. We got in bed at 11:15 and did not wake up until our alarm went off at 1:45. We woke up groggy since we had just taken a 2 and a half hour nap, and Drew took us on a ferry ride across the river. It was really pretty, but it was extremely hot. We did get a group pic of most of us celebrating Maroon Friday.

After the ferry ride, Hannah Rachel and I walked to the bus station, and we purchased tickets for our trip to Montreal on Sunday! We are very excited because we have put off shopping this past week just so we could shop in Montreal. I cannot wait!

After buying our tickets, we walked thru a farmer's market in the lower city, and I saw foods that were to  die for. I am already ready to go back.

I wanted to buy some of these macaroons so badly.

My new favorite store :)

For dinner, we ate at a cafe in the lower city, and I haven't had a hamburger that good in a long time.

Tomorrow morning, very early, we are taking a bus tour of some sort and we might be going to see Metallica tomorrow night. Hopefully, I will be able to post again before we venture off to Montreal. But right now, Hannah Rachel and I are heading out to find some dessert. We have some serious sweet teeth, and thank goodness Quebec is all uphill, or else we would be gaining 30 pounds on this trip alone. Night!!
